Mission
In the European year of Creativity and Innovation, association members aim to promote technology-based innovation and relationship between Universities and Industries. Creativity and Innovation should be considered as fundamental leverage for economic growth and the creation of social value . The Association aims to consider different kinds of innovation, especially in the technology and scientific contexts. As a matter of fact, Technology-based Innovation has important impacts on economic dimension as well as on human and social one.
The main challenge is to promote innovation in Europe. In Italy in particular it is to communicate its value to citizens, and in order to achieve this challenge we need to disseminate and share results, information and objectives.
New technologies are adopted without a real understanding and often with a sort of “empathetic” fear. Moreover scientific and technology worlds are often self reference contexts without connection to the “real” world. The mission of the PIIU association is to create links between these worlds: between industries and academics, between researchers and managers, between industries and people.
