Association
The year 2009 has been declared by the European Commission as the European Year of Creativity and Innovation. During this year, the PIIU Association to promote technology-based innovation was funded and started-up.
Innovation could be considered as the main leverage for economic and social development. For this reason the mission of the association is to foster relations between academia and industry, and services and institutions; to promote, communicate and promote innovation activities, training, and research; to promote the development of national and international research and innovation activities and to foster the internationalization of research and the inclusion of firms and universities in international networks.
The PIIU vision is that communication, exchange and cooperation are all seeds in fertilizing and augmenting innovation, particularly between industries and technology companies and academia, research labs and universities. At the same time creativity makes innovation happen and valorizes its results. Both these components are elements of the same unique framework, that includes dimensions of innovation, creativity, knowledge and communication.
The PIIU Association has headquarter in Rome in Via Farini, 62. Through its members, it operates at International level, specifically inside European Commission Countries.
